We are happy to offer gastric band fills / de-fills as required in close co-operation with your referring surgeon. These are done by a consultant radiologist under ultrasound guidance for accurate placement. We use the standard Huber needle as recommended and the procedure is done with all sterile precautions.
Occasionally we also perform barium swallows to confirm accurate placement of the bands and evaluate for slippage or prolapse. Your surgeon should be able to advise if you require this.
